I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to make our money stretch that little bit further. It is something that is hard to do.
We are a family of 7 and with all of us to dress and feed our monthly income often just breaks even with our expenses. Although, that’s not to say we have no debt. In fact, a good portion of our income gets spent on loans and credit cards. Unfortunately, we haven’t always been wise with our spending habits.
I’m attempting to live more frugally.
We’re attempting to pay off our debt in larger chunks, starting with the credit cards.
I’m trying to bring in a little more cash by selling our clutter for our family treats. This way they don’t encroach on the amount we put towards our debt.
I’m also trying to save us money on our household bills. Spending less on groceries, using less power, walking rather than taking the car.
I’m trying to use cashback reward sites, couponing sites and collecting points where possible to accumulate a little extra free spend.
I want to educate myself on money matters. Whether it’s how to save money, make money or just make better spending decisions.
I don’t want my children making poor financial decisions in the future and in order to ensure that doesn’t happen I need to be a good role model.
