It feels like it’s been such a long week that last week’s #52weeksofhappy post is a distant memory. However, it has been a good week.
I saved us money on our Sky bill.
Our Sky bill has been creeping up gradually again. We have our TV, broadband and phone with them and it costs us a fortune every month.
I gave them a call and 30 minutes later I had saved us £30 on our current package and we now have Unlimited UK Mobiles. This is something that makes me very happy.
Rainbow is okay at the hospital despite me not being there.
Leaving Rainbow at the hospital is always a worry. Unfortunately, due to the risk of chicken pox (it picked a really bad time to go around Princess Pants’ class) I’m unable to take the children to the hospital. With hubby back at work, I have no choice but to leave her.
Yesterday, though, I arrived to find mats laid out on her floor and plenty of toys there. That proves to me that she is being played with and has enough attention. (Apparently, the play specialists are fighting over her!)
Getting in touch with a friend after some time apart.
I have a friend; we were best friends. We kind of drifted apart and I can’t really tell you why. Today, I decided to text her and make sure all was okay.
2.5 hours later she was in my house having a cuppa and it was like old times.
Clean plates at dinner.
Anyone with a fussy eater will understand how happy clean plates make you. Well, this week I cooked Toad in the Hole, Mash and Veg and all 3 children cleared their plates.
Normally, Boyo takes his time… his plate was clear in 10 minutes.
Oh, I do love a bit of Stella. It brightens my mood when I feel a bit low. Who doesn’t love a bit of Welsh banter… Aunty Brenda and Bobby have to be my favourite characters. This week they caused a bit of a stir at the undertakers.
As an aside, I bumped into Big Al while sunning myself on Weymouth Beach last summer. He’s a lovely guy!
