Dear Princess Pants,
Yesterday we celebrated your 6th birthday. It wasn’t the birthday I would have planned for you. It wasn’t ideal in the slightest but we made it work, didn’t we?
Last week I was hopeful that Rainbow would be home for your birthday but it didn’t work out like that. I’m beginning to think your baby sister doesn’t want to come home. But that’s by the by right now.
How things have changed in a year. You are a fabulous big sister to both Comma and Rainbow. I know you don’t see Rainbow much but she really does adore you.
You have grown up so much since you turned 5. You have settled into Year 1 brilliantly, despite a few problems with some of your classmates. Your teacher has told me that you really get on with your work and you are a good girl when in school. You do have your moments though; but given the current situation it is perfectly understandable.
I enjoy spending time with you, my biggest Princess. You are fun to be around and have a kind heart. You really would give someone your last Rolo.
I am so proud of the beautiful girl you have become. I am so lucky to have you as my daughter. I really hope you do end up as my best friend as you get older.
If I can give you some advice now… Enjoy yourself; don’t sweat the small stuff! Don’t ever change and don’t let anyone tell you that you are not beautiful enough; not skinny enough; not intelligent enough…
You are enough of all of those things.
I promise you, you will go further in life by being you than you will by trying to be something you are not! So just BE YOURSELF and ENJOY being YOU!
Happy Birthday Beautiful Princess Pants!
I love you always!
