My Christmas blogging break is over. I feel rather sad that the Christmas break is over because today, the children are back in school and after school activities are about to resume and well, the slowness of the school holidays is already a distant memory.
It didn’t really feel like Christmas here until the actual day… It was a long, difficult December with illnesses.
First Princess Pants had tonsillitis; and Comma had bronchiolitis. Then Princess Pants had the sickness bug, followed by Boyo and finally Comma. Comma then ended up with bronchiolitis again, before Boyo had tonsillitis. We were all well for Christmas Day, then on New Year’s Eve, I came down with a horrible cold that I’m still getting over, Hubby followed suit a few days later and is still ‘dying’, while Comma decided it was time for his third bout of bronchiolitis.
Hopefully, we are now all on the mend and fingers crossed we recover quickly.
With all the illnesses around, I haven’t really had the opportunity to think about our 2014. It was a big year, that’s for certain. Baby Comma’s arrival, Post Natal Depression, Struggling through an OU module (and passing), Princess Pants starting full time school and Boyo overcoming his fears of staying away from home. Not to mention going on our first holiday as a family of five and celebrating our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We also lost a very very special lady to me.
We really did have a busy year, and while it had it’s bad parts; the positives far outweigh the negatives. As the end of the year approached though, 2014 had one more curveball to throw at me and it did that in spectacular fashion.
All that’s left to do now though, is wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you have a fantastic 2015.
