Going #backtoschool often requires precision planning on a parents’ part. Not only do we need to buy school uniforms and various other supplies (pens, pencils, lunch boxes and coats to name a few) but then there is the act of getting the children there promptly, fresh, clean and ready to face the day ahead. If, like me, this is a bit of a challenge then maybe these 3 things could help.
Proximo from Kensington
So, what always hinders a quick getaway from the house? For me, it’s my car keys. I can never seem to remember where I put them. Sure, we have a key hook, well several, but that’s too obvious isn’t it?
I’ve often joked that I need one of those whistle things, you know where you whistle and the keys whistle back? For that, though, you need to be able to whistle and, sadly, my whistle resembles that of King Julien in Madagascar. This is where Proximo comes in.
Proximo is a nifty little keyring that connects to your phone via Bluetooth using the Proximo App (available for Samsung Galaxy S Series and iPhone 4s onwards). Not only does the app sound an alarm on the key fob (or tag) but the key fob can activate an alarm on your phone. So, as long as I have my keys I can always find my phone and vice versa. The app also tells me where my keys were last ‘seen’ if they travel out of range.
Proximo is a dream come true for a busy Mum who has a tendency to forget anything except the children. If you think you just NEED Proximo in your life you could win one here!
Green People Organic Children Lavender Burst Shampoo and Conditioner
Keeping my children clean and fresh during the school term (and any other time of year) proves difficult; shower time is unappreciated by children who are tired out by the loooooong school day. It is, however, made slightly more bearable with pretty smelling (and relaxing) shower products.
We use the amazing Green People Organic Children Lavender Burst Shampoo and Conditioner. It is stunning and actually relaxes the children.
An added benefit of using them is the reports (from other Mums) that they keep away the big school and very much unwanted problem of head lice. Yes, apparently the lavender burst shampoo and conditioner deter those pesky head lice. While not medically proven, I am holding onto the hope because a friend of Princess Pants has recently had visitors and she has remained clear of them. It may well be that we got lucky; or maybe it really does deter them from setting up home in your little person’s hair.
Did I also mention that, like all Green People products, the Lavender Burst Shampoo and Conditioner are 100% organic and free of any nasty chemicals?
Vitabiotics WellKid Vitamins
Finally, to keep my little ones at the top of their game, Vitabiotics WellKid Multi-Vitamins are always close at hand. Designed for children aged 4 to 12, the soft jelly pastilles and chewable sweets boast a whole range of vitamins to keep them in tip-top health.
The soft jelly pastilles contain 10 vitamins (as well as malt and flaxseed oil) which ensures the nutritional intake of my children; while the SMART chewable are all-round multi-vitamins with iodine and iron to promote normal growth and the cognitive development of my little ‘angels’.
The kids love them and I feel satisfied that they are getting all the vitamins they need to remain on the top of their game!
