Another 2 months between Weight Loss Wednesday posts… It feels like every time I get myself sorted something crops up and I lose all my motivation for everything again.
Last week I took a big step. For months Sim has been raving about The New You Plan. I decided to take the plunge and give it a go.
My problem has been yo-yoing with my weight… When I last posted, back in May, I was over 20 stone. I’m not certain by how much but I know I was probably closer to 20.5st than I was to 20.
An immense amount of stress followed that post and in the space of 6 weeks I’d lost over 14lb. Then I began creeping up again.
My problem is food. I eat. I eat for the sake of eating. And seeing 2lb off one week, and 1lb the next isn’t going to help me feel motivated at the moment. I need a kick start.
Yesterday, I started on The New You Plan. I weighed in, I even took photos… As it’s a TFR (total food replacement) diet, I’m on a learning curve… Someone who loves food not having any… yeah. Sim explains it all far more eloquently in her review of the plan. I’m sort of learning as I go along. However, I have to say I’m enjoying the shakes, bars and burger (yes, really there is even a burger on the plan).
Starting Weight: 19st 5lb
Losing the weight is a good motivation but I have got an even better one. I’m using my personal Weight Loss Journey to raise money for a charity very close to my heart.
It’s no secret that our Rainbow (who is 1 next month!) spent 3 months in hospital. She’s now thriving and is just amazing! She really is our little miracle!
But, she wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales. The charity behind the hospital, Noah’s Ark Charity, fund vital services and equipment within the hospital. From the Play Specialists that ensure each child has company and entertainment to the Foetal Ultrasound machine they have just committed to funding, so that heart defects can be picked up before birth.
Noah’s Ark Charity is invaluable. We had to travel to Bristol Children’s Hospital for Rainbow’s heart surgery; Noah’s Ark want to be able to provide surgery at their hospital but for that to happen they need to be able to fund the positions.
Without Noah’s Ark, Rainbow wouldn’t have had the care that she needed to be here now. Will you sponsor me to lose weight and help me raise funds for Noah’s Ark?
